The Wake Forest ReStore thrives on the dedication, passion and harmony of its team. Their shared commitment to Habitat’s mission makes the ReStore a vibrant place to shop, donate and volunteer.
Ricky Lourie, ReStore Manager
Ricky began his journey with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County as a volunteer. What started as a short-term service opportunity turned into a full-time role at the ReStore that has spanned five years. His favorite part of the job is seeing the tangible impact Habitat makes in the community. From witnessing and participating in house builds to hearing the stories of families supported within his community, Ricky values being part of an organization that makes this type of impact locally and globally.
Outside of work, Ricky is a snowboarding enthusiast whose goal is to explore as many mountain ranges as possible. Beyond his passion for outdoor adventures, he has a hobby of collecting old coins, uranium glass, gemstones, jewelry and more. This interest has been enriched by his time at the ReStore. Interacting with knowledgeable staff, shoppers and volunteers has provided him with insights and stories that have deepened his appreciation for unique treasures.
Samantha Henry, Assistant ReStore Manager
Samantha has been a part of the ReStore team for three years. Her favorite part of the job is connecting with customers and hearing how much they appreciate the ReStore and Habitat’s mission. Every day on the job is an adventure, and she enjoys making memories with the rest of the Wake Forest team every day. Vignettes are her favorite task. She likes to clean and organize frequently to keep the store fresh and inviting.
Outside of work, you’ll definitely find Samantha spending time with her family. Whether they’re outside tossing a football, riding dirt bikes or visiting a trampoline park; it’s always a good time. Samantha’s favorite food is sushi or hibachi, and her favorite color is purple!
