Jewlee Crisp, Store Manager
Jewlee, who was locally born and raised in Lillington, has been leading the Fuquay-Varina ReStore for three years. She loves the unpredictability of ReStore inventory—never knowing what unique items might come through the doors makes every day a surprise. She has a fondness for antiques and treasure trinkets, especially when one-of-a-kind donations come with a story. It’s not a surprise to hear her favorite store task is collecting donations in the back, where she can see incoming products and interact with volunteers.
Jewlee is a self-proclaimed "plant-hoarder" who says a stroll up the sidewalk to her home is like a walk through a tropical garden. She enjoys hiking and loves pizza from Anna Maria’s Pizzeria in Hillsborough. According to Jewlee, it is well worth every second of the commute! Her favorite color is purple.
Ric Laudenslager, Assistant Manager
Ric has been part of the Fuquay-Varina team for about three years, having relocated from Pennsylvania in 2019. He moved to North Carolina to coach college soccer at the University of Mount Olive and crossed paths with the ReStore along the way. In Pennsylvania, Ric worked in the recycling field and supported his local ReStore’s mission as a donor. Now he loves being part of the process. He appreciates how the store's efforts support affordable housing while promoting the "reduce, reuse, recycle" philosophy.
One of his favorite tasks is dropping prices on Color Change Days to keep inventory moving. He believes Fuquay is special because of its diverse shopper base and ever-changing variety of items.
He enjoys spending time with his team, and highlights that each day is full of laughs. When he's not at the store, Ric enjoys hiking, camping and playing/watching soccer. He is vegan and has lately been loving vegan sushi nights at Element Gastropub in Raleigh. His favorite color is blue!
