Home town: Karachi, Pakistan
Current town: Cary, NC
When did you start working at Habitat Wake? May, 2006
What is your favorite thing about working for Habitat? Meeting new customers, finding new ways to help others.
What does your typical work day look like? Managing the ReStore, processing donations, assisting customers, overseeing volunteers, and running the checkout registers. Oh, and how can I forget making coffee for the staff! [Editor's note he also brings Panera sweet treats in for the staff regularly and crashes all of our diets!]
What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy praying at the mosque, spending time with my children, and playing with my 3 grand-cats.
Do you have any pets or children? I have 5 kids, 3 daughters and 2 sons. Maryam, my middle daughter, works every Saturday at the Raleigh ReStore with me. She has 3 cats: Ebenezer, Toothless, and Colby, all fun to be around.
Favorite meal: This is hard, I enjoy eating all types of food! I love desi (Indian/Pakistani) cuisine, as well as Chinese, Italian, and Mexican food. I also enjoy trying new food.
Dream vacation: Hanging out at the beach, enjoying the water, fresh air, and the delicious seafood!
Do you have any strange hidden talents? I cook delicious Indian/Pakistani food!
